We are happy to announce that Re-public has received the international Red Dot winner’s label – (almost) making this our seventh Red Dot in a row.

Our design work for Gold-Smidt Assembly has been awarded with the much-coveted Red Dot winner’s label as part of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2016, the globally renowned design competition. 

This year saw designers and companies from a total of 46 countries take part in the award. The laureates will be honoured on November 4th, 2016 in Berlin where the Red Dot Gala will take place.

Gold-Smidt Assembly is a new pop-up gallery and exhibition concept that curates and exhibits contemporary sculptural artworks at changing locations around the world.
 
Re-public developed the name, visual identity and website for the gallery.
 
The opening exhibition ‘Sølv’, takes place in London on May 13-15. See goldsmidtassembly.com for further information.

We welcome Matthias Horneman-Thielcke, new designer at Re-public.

Matthias holds a masters degree in visual communication from the Danish School of Design in Copenhagen and also studied at London College of Communication. He specializes in editorial design, layout and typography, has his own personal letterpress workshop and also teach the lost artform of manual printing at The Royal Academy of Fine Arts.

With the recent launch of the their website, QVARTZ, formerly known as Quartz+Co, unveils a new company name and visual identity – all developed and designed by Re-public.

QVARTZ is a first-tier management consulting company with offices in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo, founded with nordic roots and global reach.

The new design is currently under implementation and will be fully revealed as it is put into action.

Scandinavian Graphic Design seen from China

A new publication from Sandu Publishing presents a curated selection of contemporary Scandinavian graphic design.

The book offers an interesting view into the characteristic Scandinavian style, as it is seen from China - and shows how Scandinavian design and aesthetics are perceived and presented on the other side of the globe.

Re-public is featured with an interview and a couple of cases.
