Hafnia-Hallen

— All fun and games

Hafnia-Hallen is Denmark’s largest multi-purpose sports centre, located in Valby Idrætspark in Copenhagen. Previously known as Club Danmark Hallen, the building has undergone a major refurbishment and has reopened under a new name and visual identity. The new sports centre invites community groups from all over Copenhagen to come together, providing multiple facilities for both recreational and elite sports.

Complementary to the new architecture, the visual identity is sporting clean lines, vibrant colours, and clear-cut typography. The design concept is based on an adaptation of the iconic floor line-markings of the different types of courts, fields, and tracks and is carried through in both the dynamic logo as well as the signage and wayfinding. The wayfinding’s organic linework indicates direction, giving a sense of uninhibited and playful motion through the physical space.
