Founded in 1944, Alex Poulsen Arkitekter (APA) is an accomplished and long-established architectural firm in Copenhagen with an extensive portfolio and strong roots in the Scandinavian architectural tradition.
Adept in both new development and restoration, APA has gained recognition especially within public, institutional and administrative building. But as new government regulations changed the state of affairs for APA, the firm was motivated to strengthen their visual communication and bring their broad-ranging services and experience more into focus.
APA’s redefined strategy is manifested through a new core narrative and visual identity, ushering in a new era for the long-established firm.
As the main carrier of the brand, the new logo is designed to be both sculptural and functional – just like great architecture. The new design reflects the history and Scandinavian heritage – while at the same time presenting APA as a modern architectural firm that doesn’t rest on its laurels but maintains a current outlook and consistently sharp profile.
The visual identity for APA has been honored with the Grand Prix at the Red Dot Design Award and a special mention at the German Design Award.
