Direct from the Americas
NOR is a new brand of direct trade specialties of the Americas: Premium quality, fairly priced and with a declared focus on transparency and sustainability, aiming to promote the socio-economic growth of plantation farmers and local communities. With production relationships stretching across Colombia, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Bolivia, the central point of NOR’s product range is coffee and cocoa, offered as roasted beans, cold brew coffee, cocoa nibs and premium quality chocolate.
To help launch the brand in a highly competitive market, we assisted NOR with creative direction, visual identity and packaging design.
Steering clear of the most recurrent themes in coffee branding, the design concept is based on a highly vibrant colour palette, combined with bold typography and the raw aesthetic of standard industrial packaging. The brand is no-nonsense with a functional language free of decoration and veneer, yet with loads of flavour and a striking shelf presence.
NOR products are made by and for people who care about the details. The specifics of each product’s origin, quality and refinement is presented front and center on the packaging, further reflecting the ideology behind the business.
